I had found Iris Market Builder through the link of a supplier website that had made a big impression upon me. I was developing my new business and have had previous experience creating and maintaining business websites, but not an e-commerce site like the one I was developing.
I was weary of switching from the host that I?ve known and worked with to a new company. But I read the testimonials and looked at the other businesses that were using Iris Market Builder and was convinced this was the product for my company. I couldn?t have been more pleased.
The testimonials are all true. Michelle is awesome tech support. I had never worked with a database driven site before and had already laid out my pages in HTML. Michelle was able to convert my template and walk me through adding my product pages every step of the way. She has gone over and above what I would expect for set-up help in getting my site to run the way I envision it, including late night emails and understanding my panic-stricken questions.
Once I got used to the program (I was used to my static HTML ways and it even accommodates me in this aspect), Iris Market Builder is an easy system to use. It is a great way to manage the changes in my site and keep up with my inventory. I love the added features of providing Froogle-ready files for upload.
I recommend it to any new entrepreneur who wants to sell products online. For costs, the monthly fee is the same as my past host without this great support. It definitely has been a great return on investment as I have just made my first internet sale and the transaction happened smoothly.

Did you have a website prior to switching to Iris Market Builder, or was this your first website?
I did have a site prior to switching, however I was unhappy with the results and the service that I was receiving. I used osCommerce to build and edit my site, however, it was customized in a way that made it very difficult to edit and create new designs. When changes needed to be made to get my site off the ground, I found myself doing a lot of work on the side just to get it to work right.
I went seeking someone who was easy to work with, something easier, and much more refreshing when I hired Michelle and Elemental Muse to integrate the Iris Market Builder into my existing designs.
The previous website that I had was customized in such a way that you could not transfer my settings without having to have extensive work done to correct the malfunctions. Michelle was very helpful and walked me through every step to help move the designs into the Iris Market Builder.
What led you to choose Iris Market Builder for your website?
I had several friends refer me to a shopping cart of this nature because of it's ease and simplicity. After speaking with Michelle, I told her exactly what I needed to achieve and she recommended using Iris Market Builder! It has been the best choice I have made regarding my business and I have since told several people about it's great benefits.
Did you feel it was easy to learn to use this program?
This entire site is almost self explanitory! Michelle did send me a tutorial on how to use it, but after reading it once, I felt like I was ready to dive in! When questions have arise, Michelle never hesitates to answer; I even receive responses practically immediately-as if I'm her only customer! I am overly pleased with everything!
Has Iris Market Builder made it easier for you to manage your website?
The Iris Market Bulider has been a life saver! The previous web design and host I had before was difficult to work with on a person to person level, kept needing more money to make things right when they were done incorrectly in the first place, and overall a very disapointing experience. I am a WAHM and the only seamstress for my buisness and I need to be sewing, advertising, and taking care of my customers-not spending hours each day trying to achieve a website that I could use. The previous web designer and host that I had before made everything from updating product information to changing information on the homepage a total headache. I had to go through them each and every time I needed a change made. Several times the server would go down and I was without a website and my customers were without a way to get information or contact me. Michelle has continued to make my life much more simple and easier everyday! This cart is amazing and it really has saved me a lot of money and time! And to top it all off, the customer service through Michelle is top notch.
Do you have any other comments you'd like to share?
I can not express my happiness with Iris Market Builder or with Elemental Muse enough! Everything has been a breeze, especially compared to the other business I worked with before! I am always telling people how happy I am with it and I am so pleased that I made the switch!
A Word of Advice: The best advice that I can give any small business is to always have your priorities straight and to trust yourself. Being a new business is hard work and takes time and love. I started this business to help spread the love of carrying your child while also allowing myself to earn a creative and fun living while I stayed at home taking of my children.
