How do I measure for size? TOP
Stand your child up on a flat, solid surface (not carpeting) on a piece of paper. Holding a pencil or pen straight up and down, mark the paper where the back of the heel, and the tip of the big toe rest. Measure between these two points, and refer to the JoShoes size chart below. You should choose a size that is between 3/8" and 5/8" larger than your measurement.

What is PUL? TOP
Polyurethane laminate, or PUL, has gained great popularity as a fabric treatment. It is applied to the surface of a porous fabric (usually polyester, but also cotton) to provide a flexible, water resistant layer. Ultrex and Extreme, two woven fabrics commonly used in outdoor clothing, are also polyurethane laminates. PUL is a very effective barrier to liquids. The PUL is sandwiched between the standard double-layer sole.

What is 2mm foam? TOP
A layer of foam can be added for extra cushioning in the shoes. The foam is sandwiched between the standard double-layer sole. This option also provides water resistance. This is craft foam, so no bunching will occur after washing your JoShoes.

What is fleece lining? TOP
Another option you may choose is having your JoShoes completely lined in fleece. There are several fleece colors to choose from. Only top quality microfleece and polar fleece is used for lining the shoes.

What are Tiptoes and Toughtoes? TOP
Tiptoes are an option you may have added to that will greatly reduce the chances of a hole forming where the big toe hits the shoe. This is an especially excellent option for pre-walkers, as holes in the toes of soft shoes is often an issue at this stage. Having tiptoes does give the shoes an assigned left and right foot. Tough Toes are much like Tiptoes and serve the same purpose, only it is on the entire front tip of the shoe.

How do I wash my JoShoes? TOP
You may spot wash the shoes with a mild soap, hand wash in the sink with a mild soap and tepid water, or throw them in the washing machine on gentle cycle.

If I order fleece lined shoes, do I need to size up? TOP
No. Shoes that are ordered with fleece lining are made just a bit wider to compensate for the fleece.
